Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Bread

The key to this appetizer is baking a creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip right inside a hollowed-out loaf of French bread. The bread gets crusty on the outside and soaks up some of the dip on the inside. It's a super simple, all-in-one party snack.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese dressing
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup buffalo-style hot sauce
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend divided
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped scallions
  • 1 large loaf French bread

Instructions

  • Mix softened cream cheese, blue cheese dressing, sour cream, and buffalo sauce until smooth.
  • Fold in shredded chicken, 1½ cups cheese blend, and scallions.
  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Cut top off French bread and hollow out interior, leaving 1-inch shell.
  • Fill bread shell with chicken mixture and top with remaining ½ cup cheese.
  • Bake on sheet pan 18-22 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  • Slice to serve.

Notes

Reserved bread pieces can be used for dipping.
