Snowy Eggnog Melt-Away Cookies
These buttery cookies practically melt in your mouth. They have a delicate texture and a sweet eggnog flavor enhanced by nutmeg and cinnamon. The sparkling sugar gives them a beautiful, snowy finish.

Ingredients
For the Melt-Away Cookies

For the Eggnog Icing

powdered sugar

Instructions
Cream butter and sugar for 2 minutes until fluffy.
Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix 30 seconds.
Whisk dry ingredients in separate bowl.
Add dry ingredients to wet in three batches. Mix on low until just combined.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls on parchment-lined sheets.
Flatten balls with glass bottom.
Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes until set but not browned.
Cool cookies completely on wire rack.
Whisk powdered sugar and eggnog for icing.
Adjust icing consistency with more sugar or eggnog.
Spoon icing onto cookies and sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
Let icing set before storing.
Notes
Cookies should remain pale and delicate.
